§ Mr. EggarExpenditure in 1987—the latest year for which figures are available—was £34.8 million. In the current financial year total expenditure is expected to be about £50 million. We are providing project aid, commodity aid, food aid and technical co-operation as well as substantial emergency relief and rehabilitation assistance following the recent floods and cyclone. The main sectors to which our aid is directed are energy, communications, natural resources and health.
