Mr. Redmond

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will list for each of the last five years the number of cases of salmonella infection in its various forms that have been reported and treated in (a) Trent regional health authority and (b) Yorkshire regional health authority by district health authority; and how many cases resulted in the death of the patient.

The figures on laboratory reports of salmonellosis (cases and excreters) that have been reported to the Communicable Disease Surveillance Centre from public health and hospital laboratories in the Trent and Yorkshire regional health authorities are as follows:
