§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyThe Department is currently developing an assessment of the release from landfill sites 727W of methane and of carbon dioxide, the other major greenhouse gas from this source. Although the figures will not be available in time for this year's digest of environmental and water statistics, due to be published later this week, we hope to include them in next year's issue.
