§ Mr. BrookeAs indicated in my answer on 9 February 1989, at columns751–2, to my hon. They are well aware of the benefits for regional and urban policy of transferring work to such areas, and will take this into account where appropriate.
§ Mr. HoltTo ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what proposals he has to relocate staff for which he is responsible to the north-east of England, particularly Teesside.
§ Mr. BrookeDepartments for which my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer is responsible have in hand the serious and substantial reviews of relocation opportunities referred to in the answer I gave on 9 February 1989, at columns751–2, to my hon. Friend the Member for Beverley (Mr. Cran). Areas which are the focus of the Government's regional and urban policies, such as the north-east of England, will be considered where appropriate. Decisions will be announced once the essential processes of assessment, consultation and decision for each review have been completed.
