§ Mr. Donald ThompsonA very small proportion of compound animal feedingstuffs is imported. The majority of imports are of the raw materials including animal protein for incorporation into feedingstuffs. The importation of animal protein is already prohibited except under the authority of a licence. These licensing arrangements are being strengthened to further reduce the risk of contaminated products entering the country.
