Mr. Redmond

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will give the total expenditure on text and library books in the Doncaster local education authority for(a) primary schools and (b) secondary schools at the end of each year since 1978–79 in cash terms and in real terms, using 1987–88 prices; and what were those figures as a percentage of the national average.
