To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if, in the light of his proposals outlined in the White Paper on "Broadcasting in the 90s", he has plans to seek to amend or repeal the Marine Offences (Broadcasting) Act 1967.

Yes, we are considering strengthening the enforcement powers in the Act. The exciting proposals outlined in the White Paper reinforce the need for vigorous action against all unlicensed broadcasting.
