To ask the Prime Minister if she will make a statement on co-ordination between the Scottish Office, the Department of Health and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food on action concerning unpasteurised milk cheese.

The Prime Minister

Regulations controlling the composition, advertising and labelling of all cheese offered for sale for human consumption in England and Wales are made jointly under the Food Act by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Secretary of State for Health. Regulations also exist in Scotland and Northern Ireland respectively.
