Friend directed the LRB on 17 July 1987 to dispose of Thamesmead on payment of a capital sum and supplementary sums in respect of receipts from sales of dwellings by Thamesmead town up to 31 March 1999. The Local Government Reorganisation (Capital Money) (Greater London) Order, 1988 (SI No. 359) provides for the distribution of capital receipts received by the LRB to the London rating authorities.
