To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will make a statement concerning the levels of dioxin traces that he considers both acceptable and safe in sanitary products, tissue, and food products, including packaging.

Research has shown that levels present in these products are extremely low and are likely to present a negligible risk to health. However, the Department's committee on toxicity of chemicals in food, consumer products and the environment has been asked to advise on the possible health effects from dioxins.
