§ Mr. EggarWe have repeatedly called upon the Soviet Union to withdraw all its forces from Afghanistan. A Soviet Government statement published in Pravda on 16 February announced that withdrawal had been completed. We have no reason to believe that there are now any Soviet troops in Afghanistan's Wakhan corridor.
