What salaries, expenses and emoluments have so far been paid to the chairpersons and chief officers of urban development corporations and residuary bodies; and what other financial rewards have been paid to them for positions held by them on any other bodies on which they hold office in connection with their position as chairperson or chief officer.
§ Lord HeskethInformation on urban development corporation (UDCs) and residuary bodies (RBs), including the remuneration of chairmen, is contained inPublic Bodies 1988 published by HMSO. General information on salaries and expenses is contained in the annual reports and accounts of each UDC and RB, copies of which are laid before Parliament. The remuneration of chairmen has been increased since the publication of Public Bodies 1988. Current annual salaries with effect from 1st October 1988 are as follows:

The salaries of chief executives are a matter for the individual UDC or RB and reflect the particular circumstances of the job. The chairman and chief executives of some of the RBs and UDCs hold positions on other bodies as a result of their position with the RB or UDC concerned, but it is the usual practice to waive any entitlement to remuneration.
