To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he has any plans to meet trades unions to discuss research and development.

I have arranged for the trade union side in my Department to be kept fully informed of developments in the normal way. My noble Friend Baroness Trumpington attended the annual delegate conference of the AFRC branch of the IPCS on 9 February.
