Mr. Meacher

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what information he has as to what was the labour force participation rate for(a) men and (b) women in the age groups (i) 16 to 19 years, (ii) 20 to 24 years, (iii) 25 to 54 years, (iv) 55 to 64 years and (v) 65 to 74 years, in 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985 and 1988, for the United Kingdom, France, West Germany, Italy, the United States of America, Japan and Sweden.
