To ask the Secretary of State for Transport when and where the public inquiry into the Clapham junction railway accident will be held.

Mr. Portillo

The formal investigation into the Clapham junction railway accident will be held before Mr. Anthony Hidden QC and will begin on Monday 20 February 1989 at 10.30 am in Westminster Central Hall, Storey's Gate, London SW1.

The investigation will be held in public. Advertisements are being placed in the press.
