§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyThe plant at Bonnybridge was closed for commercial reasons in October 1984 before an independent review group, appointed by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland reported in February 1985 that there was no substantive evidence of any abnormal environmental effects from the plant.
The plant at Pontypool is still in operation and is subject to an appropriate range of environmental controls.
