To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the annual meeting of the Southern Africa Development Co-ordination Conference.

I attended the annual consultative conference of the Southern Africa Development Co-ordination Conference (SADCC) in Luanda on 2 and 3 February. As my right hon. Friend the Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, informed the House on 2 February, at column 333, I was able to announce continued British support for SADCC. Both SADCC member states and donor representatives considered the conference a success.
