To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on his latest inquiry into Lurcher's Gully.

The last public local inquiry into proposals to expand skiing facilities at Cairngorm, including development at Lurcher's Gully, was held in 1982. Planning permission was subsequently refused. Highland regional council has published a consultative draft of a proposed new structure plan, which contains a proposed policy on development at Lurcher's Gully, but there is no proposal for such development before my right hon. and learned Friend at present.
