§ Mr. MacGregorThe planned reduction in Government expenditure on near-market research and development announced last autumn related to agriculture, fisheries and food as a whole. Consultations with industry organisations on the funding of near market work in individual sectors are continuing. Final decisions on the reductions in funding for horticulture and other sectors have not yet been taken.
