§ Mr. MoynihanI have not received any direct written representation from these football clubs. However, a letter from the chairman of Darlington football club to the Football League expressing concern about the proposed national membership scheme for football spectators was brought to my attention by my hon. Friend the Member for Darlington (Mr. Fallon). I have replied to him. The chairmen of Darlington, Leeds United and York City attended a meeting which the Secretary of State for the Environment and I held with Football League club chairmen in the House on 17 January.
