§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyThe Department of the Environment provided £8,751 to cover the costs of the first meeting of working group I of the inter-governmental panel on climate change. Additionally, the Department provided one member of staff for secretarial support and two officials attended as observers. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment attended during the first day.
