§ Mr. Peter MorrisonThe latest estimates for remaining recoverable natural gas reserves within the United Kingdom and its continental shelf were published in the 1988 Brown Book (my Department's report to Parliament on the development of United Kingdom oil and gas resources) and lay in the range 644 to 1,950 billion cubic metres.
The figures for remaining recoverable gas reserves for end 1988 will be published in the 1989 Brown Book in April; they are not yet available.
