§ The Countess of Marasked Her Majesty's Government:
Whether they will publish in table form the allocation to each of the social service authorities of the £5 million for 1988–89,£14 million for 1989–90 and £20 million for 1990–91 for the implementation of the Disabled Persons (Services, Consultation and Representation) Act 1986, Sections 5 and 6, announced in the press statement of the Minister of State for Social Security on 5th November 1987.
§ The Earl of ArranThe estimated costs of implementing Sections 5 and 6 of the Disabled Persons (Services, Consultation and Representation) Act 1986, along with all other anticipated additional pressures on social services expenditure, have been taken into account in setting the overall level of central government support to local authorities through block grant. This is an unhypothecated grant which is allocated as a whole and specific elements within it are not identified separately. Individual authorities are responsible for deciding how the total funds available to them are used in the light of local circumstances and legislative requirements.
