To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will visit East Kilbride to explain to the residents the Government's proposed reorganisation of the National Health Service.

My right hon. and learned Friend and I do not have any plans to visit East Kilbride for this purpose. We have given wide publicity to the Government's proposals in the White Paper "Working for Patients" and the Lanarkshire health board is making information available locally.
