§ Mr. ColvinTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what discussions he has had with the sea fishery committees about his proposal to introduce bass nursery areas in Langstone harbour, Portsmouth harbour, Southampton Water, Poole harbour and the Fleet at Portland.
§ Mr. GummerThe Ministry has had a number of discussions with the Association of Sea Fisheries Commmittees and with individual Sea Fisheries Comittees about the introduction of nursery areas in these and other waters to help protect juvenile bass stocks. We hope to be able to make an announcement soon.
