To ask the Secretary of State for Defence (1) how many hardened aircraft shelters are being constructed at RAF St. Mawgan;

(2) what is the purpose of the hardened aircraft shelters being constructed at RAF St. Mawgan;

(3) who is funding the hardened aircraft shelters being constructed at RAF St. Mawgan.

Nine hardened aircraft shelters are being constructed at RAF St. Mawgan to provide protection for Buccaneer aircraft. The airfield is designated as a forward operating base for these aircraft. Costs are being met from NATO common infrastructure funds.
