To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to his reply to the hon. Member for Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley (Mr. Foulkes) of 28 November,Official Report, column 245, if he will list the dates and meetings which have taken place and which are planned to take place between the Royal Navy and fishermen's associations.

The following meetings have been held between fishermen's organisations and the Royal Navy during the past year20 June 1989—Maritime Liaison Meeting. 4 August 1989—Meeting between Senior Naval Officers and the West Coast Committee of the National Federation of Fisherman's Organisations. 1 December 1989—Clyde Annual Fishing Liaison Meeting. 14 December 1989—Fishermen's representatives spent a day at sea in HMS SCEPTRE in the Firth of Clyde.

Further meetings are planned. The dates and details of these are still to be agreed.
