To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science when he expects to announce the new history curriculum.

My right hon. Friend and my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Wales are waiting for the final report of the history working group, which is now expected by the end of January. When they have considered that report they will publish their proposals for history in the national curriculum.
