§ Mr. Peter WalkerI established the Welsh Language Board in June 1988 with a remit to consider all matters relating to the Welsh language. The board sent its strategy document to me on 23 May 1989. The board has subsequently published further, more detailed proposals, the practical implications of which are currently being considered.
