Dr. ThomasTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make it his policy at the next Council of European Environment Ministers to propose that the European Commission produce an annual report on the state of the environment in the European Community, to be published in January each year, to be widely publicised and circulated.
§ Mr. TrippierUnder the proposal to establish a European environment agency, it is stipulated that a report on the state of the environment in the European 91W Community should be published by an agency every three years. Unanimous agreement on the three-year cycle for publishing such a report was reached at the last Council of European EnvironmentMinisters in November.
