§ Mr. NeedhamA Food Safety Bill, which proposes substantial changes to strengthen and update existing law on food safety and the protection of the consumer's816W interest in the food area, was introduced in Parliament on 22 November. In accordance with normal practice in the field of transferred legislation, comparable provision will be made for Northern Ireland by Order-in-Council under the Northern Ireland Act 1974.
