HC Deb 13 December 1989 vol 163 cc692-3W
Mr. Ralph Howell

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how much compensation has been paid to Our Lady of Passion monastery at Daventry; and if he will estimate the costs incurred by the monastery arising from the slaughter of 5,000 birds.

Mr. Maclean

Details of the amount of compensation paid for slaughtered poultry, in accordance with the provisions of the Animal Health Act 1981, are a matter between the flock owner and my Department. I am not in a position to estimate the costs incurred by Our Lady of Passion monastery.
