§ Mr. FreemanThe estimated number of operations on eye lenses (mainly cataract) performed on in-patients discharged from NHS non-psychiatric hospitals in England in 1986 (the last year for which information is available centrally) and 1979 were 62,200 and 40,110 respectively.
