Mr. Vaz

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what information he has on how many former members of ACPO have subsequently taken up employment in banking security over the last 10 years.

No record is kept of the employment taken up by former police officers after they have left the police service.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what practical steps he is taking to help the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board to reduce the backlog of applications.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what were the administration costs of the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board for 1988–89; and what percentage increase that represents since the date of its inception.

Expenditure on the board's administration in 1988–89 was £7,469,000, an increase of 12,445 per cent. over the cost of the first full year of operation to 31 March 1965 (£59,537).
