To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what action he is taking on the representations made to him by Wakefield Civic Society, concerning the future of land currently the responsibility of the West Yorkshire residuary body.

The Department replied to the letter from the Wakefield Civic Society on 6 December. I am sending a copy to the hon. Member.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the total capital value of assets disposed of by(a) West Yorkshire residuary body and (b) all residuary bodies since the abolition of metropolitan county councils.
