To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science what plans he has to meet the new Vice-Chancellor of the Open University.

My right hon. Friend and I met the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. John Horlock, on 30 November. His successor, Dr. John Daniel, now of Laurentian university in Canada, will not be in post until July 1990.
