HC Deb 11 December 1989 vol 163 cc523-4W
Mr. Amos

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make it his policy to ensure that any changes to hill livestock compensatory allowances agreed at the Agriculture Council meeting on 11 December do not discriminate against the interests of British farmers in less favoured areas.

Mr. Curry

The changes to the EC rules governing hill livestock compensatory allowances will not take effect until 1991. We have yet to take the policy decisions about the consequential effects on our national arrangements.
