Mr. Vaz

To ask the Attorney-General (1) what is his estimate of the cost implications of the new Courts and Legal Services Bill, as outlined in the Gracious Speech;

(2) if he has costed the implications of his new Bill on legal services, as announced in the Gracious Speech.

The Attorney-General

The costs of all provisions in the Courts and Legal Services Bill, introduced yesterday, are estimated at £5.1 million in the first full year. Some £2.1 million of this relates to the provisions on legal services.
