§ Mr. Redwood[holding answer 4 December 1989]: Total values of United Kingdom imports from the Republic of Korea and of the United Kingdom's trade deficit with the Republic of Korea, from 1986 to 1989 and for the first nine months of 1989, are set out in the table. The main categories represented by these imports are articles of apparel and clothing accessories (20 per cent. of 1988 total); office machinery and automatic data processing equipment (13 per cent.); telecommunications, sound recording and reproducing equipment (13 per cent.); and electrical machinery, apparatus and appliances (12 per cent.).
