§ Mr. FreemanThe expenses of community health councils are met by and form part of the total expenditure of the health authorities concerned. It is for health authorities to decide on the level of funding that they provide to community health councils. The summarised accounts of regional and district health authorities for 1988–89 record revenue expenditure on community health councils totalling £8,004,257. This is a provisional figure, subject to audit.
