Friend has discussed the work of the Confederation of British Industry's task force on vocational education and training with its chairman, Sir Bryan Nicholson, and with the confederation's director general, Mr. John Banham. The Government have welcomed the final report "Towards a Skills Revolution" and are giving serious consideration to its proposals.
