§ Mrs. Gillian ShephardWe estimate that around 50,000 lone parents on housing benefit and/or community charge benefit will gain financially from the increase in the earnings disregard from October 1990. In addition we estimate that a further 15,000 lone parents will float on to452W benefit as a result of the increase. This will provide particular help to lone parents who are working and riot receiving income support.
