To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what information he has as to what percentage of the work force employed by British Coal are registered disabled.

Mr. Lee

As at 1 June 1987, 0.6 per cent. of the work force of British Coal were registered as disabled, as published in theEmployment Gazette in February 1988. Figures for 1988 will be published shortly.
