To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food when he last met the president of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds; and what matters were discussed.

My right hon. Friend the Minister and I met the president of the RSPB council on 17 November, when we discussed the RSPB's consultation paper on the reform of the common agricultural policy.
I had a separate meeting with the chairman on 3 November, at which we discussed a wide range of issues. Both these meetings were helpful and constructive.
