asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether United States nationals are currently employed at the Victoria and Albert Museum; and, if so, what are the conditions of their work permits; and whether the posts were advertised in the United Kingdom and the European Community before the appointments were made.

The Victoria and Albert Museum employs one permanent and established member of staff who is a US national. He possesses a full work permit. He was recruited by the Civil Service Commission in accordance with the rules for fair and open competition and the post was advertised in the following media:
