§ Dr. GodmanTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will detail any recent applications, made by the Scottish Office, for financial assistance from the European Community by way of the Renaval fund which is designed to provide assistance to those communities which have suffered a decline in their shipbuilding and marine engineering industry; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Lang[holding answer 21 April 1989]: Applications under Renaval are currently under consideration and should go forward very shortly to the European Commission.
