§ 30. Mr. WareingTo ask the Secretary of State for Health of he will make a statement on the levels of prices being charged for eyesight testing.
§ Mr. MellorIndications are that fees for private sight tests range between £7 and £15, though one chain of opticians is offering sight tests for old age pensioners at £2.50. Some opticians I understand who are charging about £10 are offering package deals which may give a discount on glasses if these are bought at the branch where the sight test takes place.
