To ask the Minister for the Arts if he will make a statement on the staffing levels at museums and libraries in London.

§ Mr Luce
In London, there are some 4,000 staff in public libraries for which information is available, and some 7,000 in national museums and galleries and the British library. Information on other London libraries and museums is not held centrally.
