To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will list the number of farms, number of sheep and number of acres subject to post-Chernobyl restrictions as at February; and if he will make a statement.

3 The current criminal damage legislation is the Criminal Damage (Compensation) (NI) Order 1977.

Notes:

1. It is regretted that due to a computational error an incorrect figure (£686,242) was previously shown—column 826, 4 November 1988—under Compensation Payments under the Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Act 1978 for 1987–88—the correct figure should read £578,699.

2. The amounts shown for 1988–89 may be subject to slight variation on completion of the appropriation account.
