Information is available from European Commission studies on the size of the procurement market in various industrial sectors in other member states but the value of the contracts to be opened to Community-wide bidding will depend on the coverage of the proposed directives and328W the threshold above which they will apply. The Commission is investigating the effect of setting the threshold at various levels.
